Mom n' Me Monday was created in an attempt to make myself get in the picture with my kiddos. When my kids are grown, I don't want to look through my photos only to find that I am not in any of them! So, I'm on a mission to "capture" these memories.

We have had the extreme pleasure of having D-man's parents here for the week. They came down from the Canadas. (as J-boy would say) Needless to say, I had a short term memory lapse and nary a "Mom n' Me" picture did I capture.
Lucky for you, we recently went on a "grand" vacation...in which we just so happened to visit the Grand Canyon. So we will call this week's Mom n' Me the "Grand Canyon Edition".
Isn't that creative?
L-boy and D-man are mysteriously missing from this picture. They stayed in the R.V. Apparently D-man was tired of my continual "photo-op" moments. Thanks to a kind-hearted passer by..this moment was captured.
It was such a lovely day at the Grand Canyon. However, we were there at the worst time of day for pictures. The evil noon-time hour. So these pictures are full of shadows. I especially enjoy the spotlight of sun highlighting my nose. It is definitely not an asset that needs highlighting!
We took a death defying hike down into the canyon. O.K., maybe it wasn't death defying, but we did have to navigate the mule dung left behind on the trail!
I've always loved taking pictures from this perspective. I take them all the time. So I nudged D-man to do the same. Please remind me never to "nudge" him to take one of my backside again. And, NO, I am not wearing a diaper.
The End.

I love the backside perspective as long as it's not me too! :)
I grew up in Arizona and I've still only ever been to the Grand Canyon once... it really is so beautiful though.
Julie, you are so funny! You certainly don't look like you're wearing a diaper! If I were as tiny as you, I'd make Wayne chase me with a camera!
That last picture is so sweet!
You crack me up! I love this moment captured!
it looks like a beautiful place to take your family!
The last pic is my fave! Your loaded up with mom N me pics for a while due to your super long vaca!
Your pictures are great! It looks like you all had a wonderful time!
Love the pictures!
And don't worry so much, your nose looks beautiful, and you don't look like you are wearing a diaper.
Lol!
These pictures are great (your perceived flaws and all). I always hate it when I am in pictures and most of them are ones that make me think I look terrible. It seems to happen a lot. Perhaps it is because we have the most practice with the camera and how to make everyone else look good! I love the Grand Canyon and have actually been down the trail in your last picture. Happy Monday!
Beautiful! I can't wait to go there with my family someday!
I've never been! We're in Utah, so not too far. Would be cool to add that on the list for this summer or next!
HAHAHA....no, you don't look like you are wearing a diaper, silly!
Sorry, I don't have any pics to post this week as I'm on vacation without my kids!
So cute...and you look great, silly girl! :) Looks like you had so much fun, I can't wait to go on road trips some day with our kids.
Love it! What awesome memories you're creating for the kids!
Your photos always have the best color. What a grand vacation. Loved all the mommy pictures. You are too cute.
I love taking walking behind photos as well! Doesn't always seem like a photo accentuates what we want to hide? Ugh. No link from me today. I have been hiding from the camera again. I promise to try harder for next week. :)
Lovely blog you yourself got here!
In love with your photographs and love for your children and family! :)
So glad to be following!! :)
God Bless n' Love!
Enjoyed the pictures! I didn't do a similar post today but after I saw yours I clicked in one the links on your page and just cried when I saw the video of you guys meeting S-girl for the first time. What a blessing! May God continue to bless your family!
Love the last pic! I need to get working on getting more photos with the kids - great memories that you've got here and I want some too!
I love the pics! They are beautiful! The hike sounds amazing. I've always wanted to go to the Grand Canyon....maybe someday!
I am sitting in my hotel having a pity party while my kids are asleep and my brother and his girlfriend are off galavanting about. This post couldn't have come at a better time. I laughed right out loud...and I mean LOUD and the nose comment and the diaper one. I mean, please...I know you'd never be wearing a diaper...that's for babies! You'd wear a pull up!!
