I am going to be completely honest here. This blog was born out of my love for all things photoshop and photography. I'm not an aspiring writer. I just love pictures. I was hungry to learn more, and share what I had learned with others. Now that I have been blogging for 5 full months...I can honestly say...I have learned more than I ever thought I would.
But, the icing on the cake...the cherry on the top...has been the beautiful ladies that I have met. Ladies who are willing to "spill the beans" on all things photography. Ladies who are happy to share their "tricks" with a little "Nosey Nancy" like me.
Enter Victoria, from Life with Little Logan. (p.s. go ahead and click away..all these links will open in a seperate window) The first time I visited her blog I became a follower. I was drawn to the exquisite photos of her gorgeous daughter, Logan. I had to return every time she posted to get my "Logan" fix. There was just something about her editing process that I adored. I knew I wanted to be just like her when I grew up!!
Over the past few months we have struck up a friendship. Logan is a little miracle baby..as is L-boy. They are a match made in heaven. And with their toilet antics...we figured their first "play date" should be in the bathroom! Arranging a marriage is difficult in this day and age. But we are determined to make things work. But, enough about our little "plan".
We're talking photography here. And I must say that Victoria is a gifted photographer. Some of my all time favorite photos of hers are here. O.K...could she be any cuter? And could Victoria be any more creative in her editing process?? I think not.
So, because I agree wholeheartedly with the "ask and you shall receive" verse in the Bible. I thought I'd try it out on Victoria. I shamelessly asked if she "might want to edit some of my photos?". To my sheer delight she said yes. So, without further ado...I present to you Victoria's edits.
I recently did a little photo shoot with L-boy in a bucket. Out of about 80 photos I got a few that I liked. Of course, trying to keep him in the bucket was a feat in itself. Therefore, my composition was lacking. But Victoria was able to make the best of them!
Here is a sampling of my before shots.
Blah..with a capital B!
This is Victoria's after. Can you believe it's the same picture. I can't. I still think she's pullin' my leg.
When I first saw these, I'll admit...I wanted to cry. I thought they were perfect.
I am in love with the chocolatey tones she used. And her vintage touches...well...you KNOW I'm sold!! Aren't you?
I'm so glad I had her edit this one! This is L-boy's "classic" look when I am trying to wrangle him into posing for my photo shoots. He is usually none too impressed with my antics!
Because, I love her use of color so much. She gleefully offered to edit a few more using her magical color pop technique. Yes..gleefully!! Because that's just the kind of person she is! Gleeful.
Look out, chicka-dees...here comes T-R-0-U-B-L-E.
A flower for you, Ma'dam?
My heart did a little jig in my chest when I first laid eyes on this. Hello scrumptious. Ah, that face. It gets me everytime. Almost makes me want to have another....ALMOST!
And because she likes to play...and I love me some black and white..she sent this one. Isn't it just perfect?
Thank you from the bottom..and top..and sides of my heart, Victoria. These will be treasures forever. I will proudly display them at our children's wedding.
And when you start offering Lightroom tutorials on your blog...I will be the first in line! O.K!
No pressure, though! wink wink
Now..if you want to get an eyeful of baby goodness...and meet a lovely family..waltz right on over to Life with Little Logan.
Say "Hi" from me! But don't ask her to edit any of your photos. I have dibs on her free time! he he

Those photos turned out BEAUTIFUL!
WOW, these are very SWEET EDITS indeed! AND great shots of "L-BOY"! You really captured his personality here. Logan is adorable, and have found myself sneaking over there to see how she's changing. Having 2 preemies myself, I understand miracles. Thanks for sharing, LOVE your edits Victoria. Hugs to your beautiful babies.

Yes, that's what I need....a photo editor! If you recall, I tried to send you a photo to help me out with, but I couldn't even accomplish the sending-the-photo task. I struggle with all things computer.
But I do know how to leave a comment!
Julie - thanks for the raves, but it was pictures of my future son-in-law...!

What a great new friend you have in Victoria!
Wow! These are incredible, both the subject of the pictures and the edits. I love Lightroom, but can't even begin to figure out how to do things like this. I am thinking my editing days will have to wait until my kids are a little older. I would love a tutorial from her though.
They are ALL so great! And of course you have an adorable subject to start with. :)
Can you still love me even though I have nothing photographic to give you? :)
OK - so I am off to start a tutorial using LR - haha! LR is wonderful - and maybe in a few days I'll get a tutorial up - thanks everyone!
