Meet "Buck".
I wanted to name him Bill.
Get it? Like Duck Bill!
No such luck.
I plead a momentary lapse of sanity.
Last night, once all the kids were tucked in bed.
And Buck was crying for attention.
I just might have said, "I can't believe we own a duck!"
To which D-man replied, "I can...I live with YOU!"
Is he implying that I'm impulsive???
Because that would be so not true.
But then again.

That is one cute duck. Being impulsive makes life interesting right? Think of all the experiences you might miss out on otherwise.
I have never owned a duck, although I love searching them out to feed them in the spring. You will have to let us know if it is hard to take care of.

I guess the question that comes to mind is WHY? There is certainly the cuteness factor, and he's very in keeping with the whole Easter theme, but do ducks make good pets?

my husband bought me a duck 14 years ago. he bought it for me for Easter. We kept it for a few months but we lived on a chicken farm and were not allowed to have it.
Now all you need is a chick!
he is sooo cute! We have 4 hens, so I totally understand the fowl for pets thing.
