Before and After...
Have you met Monica over at Pixel Perfect Blog?
She's a real photographer.
She's good! Real good!
Scurry on over to her blog to see more before and after pictures.
Well, I had no time this week to "play" with my pictures.
I don't know, it might have something to do with the four children living in my house.
The 9 loads of laundry I have done in the past two days.
Or possibly the snotty nosed baby boy who is still lingering in "sickville".
So I thought I would share this lovely barn picture again.
Only this time I will share the before picture with it.
Barn theme?
I know, you're shocked!
I'm sure no one has noticed my bent towards all things old and vintage.
I'm so sorry if it is becoming bothersome.
But I can't help myself.
I just can't.
The original is actually not that great.
I hate that I cropped out the top of the trees.
I'm not digging the composition. It's a little off.
But, being that I was on private property, within spitting distance of the NO TRESPASSING sign, I was feeling a little nervous.
Yep, I'm a law abiding citizen.
So when I noticed the sign I rolled down my window and used my zoom lens to quickly sneak a few shots.
Then I high-tailed it out of there.
But oh, doesn't this make everything so much better?
Hello Barn Baby.
May I rest in your shade for a bit?
May I linger in your presence for a moment longer?
I acknowledge and appreciate your existence.
You make me want to be a better person.
Thank-you and Good-bye.
Next week, I will bring back the "mini-tutorial" along with my before and after photo.

Oh I love that edit! It makes everything seem so rich! I might have to get PSE now.... :)
Hehe, you made me laugh about being nervous on the private property...I am the same way and would have taken the photo really quick too.
I really do love this photo!
Oh goodie, I am also a keen photographer, but I am pretty clueless when it comes to effects and apps to enhance a photo.
Look forward to that one!
That is GORGEOUS!! I've seen so many of your photo's that I'd LOVE prints of!
I love your old vintage look! The picture is amazing...it is something I would hang on my wall.
I love the way it turned out...so cool. I agree that it is something to hang on a wall. Photoshop is so fun.
I love your edit! And I would have felt the same way about "tresspassing!"
Love it! I can't wait for the tutorial. This was the perfect effect for this old barn! Great job!
I've come in search of textures. I think I remember reading about your addiction to them. :)

Hi Julie
Thank you for the great comment on my blog.
I am still so new to blogging, and would to participate in your Mom nMe Monday, I'm just not sure how the McLinky work!
I was just going to keep quiet untill I figured it out, but some guidance in the bloggy world would be smiled upon with great kindness.
BTW I LOVE your barn pic.
The is for The Mom- for some reason I am not able to email you because your profile is unavailable. But the MkLinky is quite easy. I posted directions in the post. Basically just click..your next and type in your name and then go and copy your post url and then come back and paste it into the section that says url. Easy as that...then your are added. :)

I echo what others are saying. Great edit and am looking forward to the tutorial. I just started edited photos and am spending way too much time on the computer learning! But, LOVING it!
I love the edit! It seriously looks so good! You're right - the original isn't anything too exciting, but the edit just pops! Good job my dear!

I think it turned out lovely! Such warm, rich tones and the crop is better than you give it credit for. :)
