Before and After...Big shoes to fill

Many moons ago, my mother-in-law asked if I would click a picture with the kids feet in big shoes and pair it with a favorite quote.

I never quite got around to capturing it until this past month...many moons later!

With Christmas breathing down our necks we found ourselves trying to think of the perfect gift for our mom.

Fortunately, I had some willing bodies, who actually enjoy walking around in shoes nine sizes too big!

Here is the before...
058

And After...
find us faithful
This was edited in Photoshop Elements and I used Coffeeshop's Color Block Action.

I plopped that baby into a hand painted frame by "moi" and had a real purdy little gift. In fact, I'm even gonna frame one for myself.

This is my beautiful Mother-in-law.mom
The word painted on the frame says "Inspire".

And now, because I want to inspire you...may I share an out-take?
I initially thought I'd only use S-girl for this photo.
I just couldn't get "Ole' thunder pants" to be still.

Before I share .... I must defend myself in a small way by saying that we rarely utilize our front door. Especially in the winter when D-man plows the top of our driveway and blocks the sidewalk leading to the front door with 5 feet of snow!

Hence, one can't be held responsible for not noticing the sorry condition of the pumpkins sitting on one's front porch.

Not really sure what I was thinking when I snapped this.
Perhaps I was thinking I'd get real cozy with the crop tool in photoshop!

Really..a pumpkin should last for at least 2 months in the frigid North, shouldn't it?
045
Apparently...NOT!

I'm sorry you had to see this.
Now run along and look at some more before and afters at Pixel Perfect.

Wow! What an awesome shot an edit! I ♡ it... :) You're pictures are always so inspiring.

I'm with you on the whole pumpkin thing. What's up with them not lasting? I don't get it? Are they pickin' these bad boys in September? They should last until we put the Christmas decorations up at least. Right!? Hahahaha...

You're too funny! ♡

My sister! We were putting up Christmas decorations this year and the pumpkins were sitting on the porch. The kids enjoyed chunking them into the woods. They hadn't quite lost their shape yet, but it wouldn't be long!

That's an awesome edit! Love that color block action!

I have to say, while the pumpkins may technically not look so good, I love the way they collapsed when they rotted... like they were deflated. Too funny. :)

That is awesome. It has totally made my week to have TWO posts from you :) I love your dirty smushed pumpkins. They make me feel so classy and refined knowing that MINE were gone the DAY after Halloween :D

Okay...only because before I could say anything my husband and son stole them so they could shoot them with BB guns and a bow and arrow. :D

PS: Awesome gift!

HAHAHA...that is too funny about the pumpkins. I've done that with flowers on our front porch. We rarely use the front door, we usually leave the house via the garage. I think I left some flowers in a pot on the front step for about 2 years. When we put our house up for sale, that's when I noticed the brown crusty mess by the front door! Oops ;)

I love the picture, it turned out great!

Omgosh I want one of those for me too. What editing did you use on that. It is perfect. Great job. As for the pumpkins...if you had left them like that on the ground you might have more pumpkins sprouting next summer :) Just kick them off the porch onto the grass so they can plant themselves. LOL

deflated pumpkins like that are a species I've never before seen!

And I know it's about the adult shoes, but I think the tights make the outfit!
