A First For Everyone.

First day in Kindergarten.
school1
Our first assignment was to decorate a paper cut-out in her likeness.
So we pulled out our scrap booking papers and away we went.
I think she turned out mighty fine.

And..yes..that is dirt all over the porch.
A dust storm got the best of us and I haven't done a thing about it.

First day in "all day" school.

For the most part, J-boy has been excited about starting school again.
On the way to school this morning he asked how long he would be there.
Upon hearing that six hours of his life, each day, would be spent filling his brain with knowledge, he welled up with tears.
"I'm not happy about this!" he sniffled.

First time attending public school.
school2
He picked out this pair of glasses.
I suggested something a little more subtle.
He won.
I love this kid.
And the glasses...well they are growing on me.

Be still my heart!

All in all the day went smoothly.

S-girl's thoughts..."It was awesome!"
J-boy's thoughts..."Perfect, just perfect!"
C-boy's thoughts..."Not good, I don't think I'll be going back tomorrow!"

Fortunately, he's come around and thinks he "might be able to try it another day"!

The morning aftermath.

Apparently, getting three kids fed and dressed and out the door calls for a bit more organization.
I'll do better next time.
I promise.

And because I like to share.
This was the view out my living room window this evening!
Let's enjoy it together.

That's a wrap.

I actually kind of dig C-boys glasses! Very hip! ;)

And that paper doll cutout is incredible... GREAT job!

Ahhh - how cute are they. C-boy looks like a young man and I think the glasses look great on him.

Is that really your view??? Seriously??? From the front, I look into the living room of a house that is the same model as ours. And from the back, I look into the kitchen of a house that, well, has seen better days. :( So much for living in the city... now I want your view...

Glad they liked school. Keeping my fingers crossed that Stunt Man likes it too.

Where do I start....
1. I love the look-alike cut out of S-girl. So cute...and totally looks like her!
2. Your boys look great. And I love C-boy's glasses. So chic...I mean cool.
3. I'm glad the 1st day of school went pretty good for everyone.
4. My kitchen looks like that often. And I don't have 3 kids to get to school, yet!
5. Soooooo jealous of your view! Gorgeous.

How are you doing? A quiet(quieter) house is weird, huh?
The pictures are so cute! Lucky teachers, getting to spend the whole day with these cuties!

Hope it's a great year for all of your little peanuts! :)

Our "aftermath" looks pretty similar as well! I can't understand why the mess is always left for me. Would it be that hard to throw away the junk and load the dishwasher on their way out?

And the view is beautiful! It looks like we could be neighbors, seriously!
I'll have to share a sunset soon, we always have a great sunset from our family room. It's my favorite part of living in the country!

I don't know what to comment about first - the kids or the view? Well, let's start with the kids - they are absolutely beautiful! So gorgeous! Now, the view - THAT is your view out of your window? Oh, Dear! I think I must come for a long visit. Don't mind me ... I'll just be the strange lady who won't move from your window. The kids can hang their backpacks on me when they get home! So lovely, Julie! So so lovely!

There is not much cuter things in this world then adorable, happy children in glasses. Multiply that by 3, and you have pure magic! Blessings for your school year!

What a spectacular view!

I hope the public school transition turns out to be a little easier in the coming days. That must be a tough adjustment. Keep me posted!

What an exciting day of firsts!!! I am impressed with the paper likeness of your daughter. That is some talent there. I also have to say that I like the glasses your son picked. They have attitude.
It does take a lot of organization to get everyone out of the house without it looking like a tornado blew through. If I figure out how to do it, I will let you know! I'm a little jealous of that few. It is gorgeous! I could picture myself sitting there sipping a cup of hot chocolate and looking at that for hours.

You are just hilarious. I love his glasses. I love that your counter looks that way (it still hasn't got a thing on mine). I love that your paper doll looks like something someone would pay for. I love that there is dust on your porch, and you actually think you should do something about it. I LOVE the view.

What a gorgeous family you have! But if you figure out how to do mornings so your kitchen doesn't look like that afterward, do share your secret. I should have attained perfection by now, but my kitchen still looks like that pretty much every morning! LOL
