But Dad...I must be set free.
It is my heart's desire to play in the fire which is burning at your feet.
And by golly, I will continue to flail, kick, and scream until I earn my freedom...
Enter "super
Yep...I'm pretty much a "rock" when it comes to discipline.(no that is not my husband laughing in the background!)
He's cute but he ain't gettin' away with anything.
Consistency is KEY!
I pride myself on being inconsistently consistent!
And camping offers no excuses.
On second thought...he may have gotten away with a few things on that trip.
But one must draw the line at playing in the fire.
I think the super nanny would be proud.
Safety first.
Besides, we are not raising "hooligans" here at the factory.
No siree-bob!
And the naughty stool...well...you know you're a mom when you are desperate enough to "try" it while camping.
Not to mention photographing your child whilst in his "moment of shame", because he is so dash cute!

omgosh he is so cute! I love the naughty camping chair. nicely done!! hope you had a nice trip
HAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Gosh, consistency is my greatest downfall. One day it's bribery with Skittles, the next day it's threats of taking Eeyore and sending him where there sun don't shine... Yikes. Come supah nanny my kids, please? I'll even sit in the naughty stool while you do it! :o)
HaHa - He is SO adorable, I have missed seeing his little face! I can't imagine he would deserve the naughty chair!
Lol! Awwwww, so how did the rest of camping go?
He is so cute and You are too funny. good for you being so inconsistently consistent. LOL I love it. You sound like me. His moment of shame. BAA HAAA. Too much.
Oooo - you GO Mommy! The naughty stool on a camping trip - brave brave soul! (We fancy the naughty step in our house - and I do tend to pop into a british accent when using it! Gotta love that Supernanny Jo!) Love the photos, though!
Yay... glad to see you're back.
Hope you trip was fun. I see you kept with disciplinary measures. Hahaha I heard the accent and everything.
Ahhh, he's cute as a button even in his attempts to play with fire.
How stinkin' cute is HE?! Love the photos and the progression ... made me smile!
That TX influence is coming out, Mrs. Julie! I do believe that I refer to my kids as hooligans when they act like they were raised in a barn. I also say No-siree-bob!! ;)
You have me laughing so hard!! It's so funny how we resort to the naughty chair even while on vacation. Mom's really must stick to their guns and not waiver! I have to admit... I'm quite consistent on being inconsistent too.
My day will be full of naughty and not much cooperative stool sitting. So this kinda feels like you're showing off a bit. Thanks a million!! :)
Ha! Way to go, Mom! To be honest, those teary photos are always my favorites! That's real life, isn't it? Great shots!
I got a REALLY good chuckle out of it being his heart's desire to play in the fire!
Love this! ^_^
He's going to LOVE these pics when he's...ohhhhhhh 14 or so? :P
We just took our kiddos for their first camping trip. They LOVED it!
:) I am with you on consistently inconsistent. My biggest problem. Andy often says we are in need of Nanny 911, and as I type my blood is beginning to boil at the sound of my childrens' incessant whining. But I don't dare mention time out, because frankly, I'm too tired to execute.
LOVE THIS!
Too funny! I "heard" your post in total Super Nanny fashion, accent and all. Don't we have to photograph them, so we have proof of these trying times?? Or maybe so later we look back and realize they were so stinkin' cute??
Great pics!!
haha that is cute. I agree with you 100%!! You gotta show them who is boss! And camping can be dangerous but super fun!
Inconsistently consistent...Love it!
LOL! I love the pictures and captions! Haha! Too funny!
hahaha! Love this! I am not consistent...I try, but I haven't really found anything that works all the time! Love the naughty stool while camping! That totally rocks!
aww...moms are so mean sometimes!
I must confess - I took photos of our oldest the other day while she was in the midst of a tantrum too. They are just so hilarious!
Hmm...there's an echo here. Love this!
:)
Oh, I hear sister!
I suck at consistency! I just started putting my 2 year old on a chair for time out and she HATES it. I feel all powerful like I've just discovered fire or something.
Mine have outgrown the camping chair of shame. We just use squats!

I would love to be consistently consistent, but I am afraid I am with you in the mothering sisterhood of inconsistently consistent!
Your blog is a delight!
HAHA! SO Cute!! :-)
I love the captions you gave the photos- you are too funny!
I also love "inconsistently consistent" that is so perfect for all of us parents. :)
I love the lens! I got the one with vibration compensation- make sure you get that one if you ever do get it. I read reviews and the VB is worth it!
It is now my "all around" lens and I use it all the time!
So stinking cute!!! I love the captions too...too funny :)
WOW! I am in awe: I CANNOT believe that he stays in that naughty campers stool.
You go, girl!
Oh my goodness! Too cute! What great post :)
I hope you are having a wonderful day..
K xx
Hahahahaha! Yes, there is nothing like time out on the go. We are always laughing about the "Naughty Mat". I love the part about being inconsistently consistent. Amen to that! It is hard to always be consistent. Sometimes all it takes is letting things slide just once, to make you have to start right back at the beginning. Oh well. He is absolutely adorable though!
Oh my, isn't this age fun!!?? =) It just dawned on me a few weeks ago that my little man was actually old enough now to be disciplined like a big boy... but only if I can take a picture of it while I do it. =) I'm also considering buying a leash for our next camping trip, maybe they will give us a discount if we both buy one together...
That is soooo funny! Love it. Ummm...ya, I've tried the whole naughy chair (even with the British accent) and it doesn't work for my rascals!
And how could you not take pictures of that cutie pie in his naughty chair!!!
I think he's adorable too. But there's no sound with these pictures. That might have taken the edge off of the cuteness!
Still those are great shots for the family album.
Gosh, I just want to bite him! So freaking cute on his naughty stool! Love it!
Good call, drawing the line at playing in fire.
