The Peanut Gallery slash Barber Shop

On this particular day in history...I, the mother of this household...decided it
was time.

The "cute" in L-boy's "cute baby hair"  had flown the coop weeks ago.
I'm quite certain that if you look closely,
you might just find a small creature nesting peacefully.

L-boy's attempt at accessorizing was not helping the situation.
But you gotta give it to him for trying.
He's innovative.

His sweet sister and his clever mother decided that a set of pigtails might be nice.

And I must say...
HE ROCKED THE PIG TAILS.

But for some odd reason, his brothers and father were NOT impressed.
I understand their concern.
But, I did revel in his girlish cuteness for one sweet moment!

Here is the smashingly handsome L-boy before his very first "Big Boy" cut and style.
You probably didn't know that his very versatile mother doubles as a barber.
There were some very sketchy moments.
One in which, his mother fell to the floor in laughter as she looked at her son who resembled
Moe of the Three Stooges.

But after the addition of a few layers,
with the precision and savvy of Edward Scissorhands...
She was tickled pink with the results.

In order to achieve this most excellent "surfer dude" look...
His mother resorted to bribery.
In the form of a very blue sucker.
I'm quite sure it was organic and sugar free.

He was quite delighted with the results.

He's feelin' the new look.
This hair cut definitely calls for a "cool dude" facial expression.

And the true test of a great haircut, is how it looks the morning after!!
Eat your heart out Justin Bieber!!

"And I'm like baby, baby, baby, ohh."

Those are the only Justin Bieber lyrics I know.
Promise.

Those pigtails were awesome! But the blue lips...even better...kind of goth, hip and happenin'. Add a tattoo and he's all set to take on the world ;) Do you do your own tattoos, also?

It looks wonderful, and wow- you are a brave woman, I cut my sons hair twice, and it looked great, but he was sooo wiggly I didn't enjoy my stress level, so I let the nice lady in the shop take the stress~

Those pigtails - you are going to be in SO MUCH trouble one day!!

My favorite is the one with the pigtails and he's looking down at his sandwich - cute!!

Great job! He looks adorable. I wish I could do the same for my little guy. I tried it once and lets just say he definitely needs to go to a hair salon from now on. ;-)

Aaaw! He looks beyond adorable either way. And I love the juxtaposition between the cute face and monster shirt.

He has blue eyes and beautiful hair that every girl would die for!

You did VERY well, my dear! I'm really impressed. Though I nearly shot water out my nose when I got to the part with Moe's mug.

I really need to trim Ben's hair. He could probably rock some pigtails too! I can imagine the look on hubby's face if he saw that!

Love L-Boy's shirt BTY! So cute.

He DID rock those pig tails for sure. I am still laughing over the Moe thing. Freaking hilarious!!

That cut is too stinkin' cute. You put Great Clips to shame. Whenever Colton actually grows enough hair to cut, do you want the job?

He is seriously so incredibly adorable! I can imagine how hard it was to cut his hair. I'm impressed you did it yourself. If I tried, the end result WOULD be Moe. Love the blue smile!

Love the pigtail photos!! =) cute and funny!

Love the new surfer dude look ~ cute! nice job mamma!

and the organic, sugar free BLue lolly ~ priceless! =)

I used to cut my kids hair ~ until it got TOO thick! =) oh the painful memories ~ we actually had to restrain Sammy in a towel... trick learned by the hospital staff while placing an IV in the poor kid! worked like a charm ~ with muscles ~ two parents and a lot of patience!! =) and snot and crying. he always got an organic, sugar free lolly too! =) We will seek therapy one day for that I am sure!

I can remember my father putting a bowl over my younger brother's head and chopping around it. Am convinced he coined "bowl cut". ;)

You did do a great job!
But then again, you're working with a GREAT subject!

After the pigtails though, can see where the hubs and brothers would be concerned! LOL!

Nice post.

I say,
The emphasis of a barber school's education is to teach the essentials of providing hair and skin services for men. They often learn to perform razor styling, hair cutting and coloring, blow drying, foam shaves, steam facials, and facial massages.
Using a good hair salon is key to great hair care. But how do you select the right hair salon from the many choices available?
You can do to guarantee that you always receive the best hair cuts, latest professional techniques and stellar service is to choose the right hair salon. Granted, that is easier said than done. With hair salons on practically every street corner, narrowing down your options to find the right salon can be confusing.
