Well today I was going to write up a nice little layer mask tutorial.
That was my intention anyway.
However, yesterday I wasn't feeling well.
I thought it was just due to a cold I am fighting.
Well, after a long night spent hugging the porcelain throne,
I don't have it in me to write a tutorial.
However, being the smart and resourceful person that I am.
And not wanting to do any more work than needed.
I had this bright idea.
Rita, over at the Coffeeshop has written a wonderful layer mask tutorial for Elements users.
Why re-invent the wheel?
See, I'm smart like that.
Don't forget that elements does not have a layer mask stand alone. You will need to download that here.
Rita gives instructions on how to download actions on your version of Elements.
Thank you Rita.
Layer masks will make your life complete.
I am also compelled to show you these.
Remember this little cutie?
He now goes by Behemoth Buck.
Behemoth is not an understatement.
This is a week and a half worth of growth.
I promise there were no steroids involved.
On second thought, his favorite side dish is spinach.
And because I feel it is my duty to share all sides of the story.
Owning a duck, does have it's down side.
Because the nature of the last two pictures did not sit well with my stomach.
I am going to go crawl back into bed.
Good-bye and good luck.

Wow, he sure did grow! Feel better!!!
I hope you feel better soon Julie!
That duck is cute, but those last 2 pictures, not so much! YUCK. Who gets to pick up after the duck?
Behemoth Buck is right!! ;)
So sorry you're feeling under the weather! Hope you can enjoy your weekend! ;)
Time to get out the duckie diapers. :-) I hope that you are feeling better.
After seeing what our ducks leave on our porch...I say "no thank you" to them being anywhere remotely indoors. My German shepherd is doing well enough on his own using our home as his private potty. ;o)
Hope you are feeling better!!!
LOVE these pictures! Hope you are feeling better soon!
I can NOT get over how cute that little ducky is, he looks so perfectly groomed...what kind of shampoo and conditioner does he use? :)
I hope you are feeling better soon!!
You make me want to add 'owning a duck' to my list of things to do "some day". Like in 10 years when I'm done with babies and the kids are old enough to clean the poo....yep, then I think it might be quite fun.
Aw I hope you're feeling better ASAP!
I can't believe how fast he's grown! And that poop is just ewwwww! lol
The duck is still cute even if he does his business where he shouldn't. :)
Oh my! Buck is the cutest evah!
although glad it wasn't me at the store that day! I would not be able to say no to that cuteness!
Love your blog! Hope you are feeling better :) Have a nice week-end!
So sorry you're under-the-weather Julie. :( There has been some NASTY stomach bugs going around our neck of the woods here in upstate SC.
The duck: too cool!
We have a turtle (2 until mySamuelson's new pup, whom I've secretly named "Dog-with-no-brain", "played" with the other one. 2 parakeets. 1 we named "Grease"...think he's partially deaf. Forgot he was close to the speaker in the floor of my car when we brought him home from the petstore and the kids and I were rocking to John Travolta's "Grease". Budgies (i.e. Parakeets) are sensitive to LOUD noises. 3 dogs, 1 NUTSO cat, 14 Rhode Island Red chickens (presently in day 5 of incubating 37 more) and 9 beehives.
Hubby will call some days from work and ask, "How's the circus?"
Thought I'd share. :)
And so glad you, like Paul Harvey, share THE WHOLE STORY! Even when it's dirty! ;)
BUck is cute, I'l admit that, but will you still love him when he loses his baby cuteness? It's like when my kids start to get their permanent teeth in and I have to look back at their baby pictures and sigh.
Gross. Just gross.
Can't wait to go check out the tutorial. I still have yet to download the add on thing, so I am behind the ball over here. I'll do it soon.
Feeling better yet? Hope so...miss my friend :(
This is my first visit to your blog! LOVE IT!
