Mom n' Me Monday

mom n me jpeg

Mom n' Me Monday was created in an attempt to make myself get in the picture with my kiddos. When my kids are grown, I don't want to look through my photos only to find that I am not in any of them! So, let's "capture" these memories.
******************************************************************

This is J-boy.
He is our second son.
This kid is a gem.
He has a tender, kind heart.
He loves to "chat".
He is a complete snuggle-bug.
We've affectionately called him "Gentle J".
He loves his siblings.
Defending them, even if they are in the wrong, trying to explain to me the why of their behavior.
"I'm sure they didn't mean to do it, mom".

They, too, are thankful for a brother like him.

At the 20 week ultrasound, I found out he was a boy.
I cried.
I'll just be honest here.
Shortly before I became pregnant, I had been told that I had about a 1% chance of a pregnancy.
So imagine our complete and utter joy the day we saw the two pink lines.
I had "girl" on the brain.

But God didn't.

And I am so thankful.

God knew exactly what we needed...

When He sent us this precious BOY.

Thanks for hosting this! I didn't have time today to post a new picture because I'd already posted something else... I hope you don't mind that I updated a post from last fall to enter. :) nice to meet you!

These pictures are so sweet! I love what you said about your son.
I wanted at least one of the twins to be a girl. I didn't know what I would do with a boy. I was shocked when I found out they were both boys.
I feel the same as you. I am so glad He gave me what He did. I love my boys and wouldn't change it for the world!

New Follower here... just stumbled upon while blog hopping.

I can totally relate to this post. I just recently had a little boy. When I first found out that I was pregnant I had 'girl" on the brain and cried even thinking it would be a boy. I remember friends telling me that God would give me what I "needed"... boy, they could not have been more right. My little buddy is my entire world and I couldn't even imagine having a little girl right now. It's so fun to see how God works in your life. Love the pictures!! Hope to join in soon! Looks like fun!

This post made me cry... (I am 18 weeks pregnant, but a crier even when I'm not!)

So amazing that 1% chance became the world!

Thanks for sharing that story and the pictures!

You've got a new follower in me!

Julie,
The photos of you and your son are absolutely precious! Whoever took them is a great photographer!
I will have to have my husband take pictures of Brad and I together. I liked up today but I just had two pictures that were....just ok. :)

So I was curious to see how many were linking up with you...yes, stalking, you can just call it that. And again with the tears. Seriously, the warmth of those pictures coupled with your story of wanting a girl, yet being blessed with this boy just does it for me. Sigh.

I popped over from Melissa's (aka the Zookeeper) blog! Love the post & idea. I felt/feel the same way with my son too!! Exactly the same! I wanted a sister for my daughter, but was blessed with this amazing little man who I couldn't imagine sharing my life with! Keep up the great work!
