Canada, eh

O Canada!
Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

My In-Laws will be proud to know that I just made D-man sing this and he knew all the words. (almost)
We are on our way to the great North!! Some of you may not know that D-man was born and raised in Canada, eh.
When he became a United States citizen, they made him "renounce" his Canadian citizenship. (Nice, huh?!)
As he took the oath, his fingers were crossed behind his back!
His parents live near Vancouver and have been involved,up to their necks, in all things Olympics. In fact, we were surprised when his Dad wasn't the one lighting the Olympic cauldron! :)
They were gracious enough to give us tickets to a few events!

So, away we go!

The only time I allow my kids to be "plugged in" for 7 hours straight!
L-boy is not impressed. Every once in awhile, he blesses us with a blood curdling scream.
Just to remind us that he is there.

Hello "El Guapo"!! Hey, keep your eyes on the road. We've got precious cargo on board!

P1020763
Much better!

P1020766
Dear sir, I am so sorry for you!
Glad it's not us!

P1020784
HELLOOO MOUNTAINS!!

P1020771
Did I mention, this is the only time that I allow MYSELF to be "plugged in" for hours on end. This mobile, wireless internet is most excellent.
"What's that, honey?? Oh you need something. You'll have to wait. Mommy can't unbuckle, it's not safe!"(wink, wink)

flavor savor
Actually, she's too busy labeling Apolo Ohno's most amazing "flavor saver"!!

Speaking of facial hair, did I mention that we get the high privilege of watching "The Amazing Apolo" skate in the 1000 meter final?? The one where, if he win's, he breaks an olympic record for the most decorated winter olympic athlete!! I'm sorry Bonnie Blair, your title might just be ripped out from under you!

And I'll be there, with my zoom lens...trying to get a shot of that most amazing facial hair.

Just for you, Kevin!

You ARE NOT going to the Olympics! ;)

Can we say, "Carrie is jealous?!"

Got your sweet comment ... I'm following you, too! ;)

As far as the sidebar pics, I don't really know. I made mine small in my scrapbooking software and then uploaded them as a "picture" gadget. I also didn't give them titles (I don't know ... maybe that takes up extra room at the top?). I'm pretty new at all this stuff, too ... we can learn together!

Oh, & I don't think you need your "Novice Alert!" - Your pictures are great! ;)

Have a great time at the OLYMPICS!!!

Thinking more about your question ... You know what you could try? You could put all three on one picture/collage in Photoshop. Then you can decide how close they are, etc. Just thinking out loud ... that is what I did for my Christmas look. I even had them overlapping some with elements hanging out the edges. ;)

Love the "get your eyes on the road" then he is looking ahead the next picture. Way to keep him in line.

Have fun!

P.S. Your youngest looks about as thrilled as mine when we travel for anything over 5 minutes.
